Nicolás Almagro and Venus Williams sport the local crowns in the trophy presentations for the Abierto Mexicano Telcel event that ended yesterday in Acapulco, a once-popular vacation destination for Americans. Venus crushed rival Flavia Pennetta 6-1, 6-2, while Almagro picked apart Gaël Monfils 6-4, 6-4. It's one of the calendar's few joint events outside of Slams.
