Yellow Curse

I haven't seen much tennis since the inauguration, but on the way back to Maine, I woke up in the middle of the night in a hotel room and turned on ESPN to see that Venus Williams was upset in three sets by Carla Suarez Navarro, the "small gal" (someone should fire Brad Gilbert for calling her that) with the vicious one-handed backhand.

I'd like to say I was surprised, but when I saw Venus play a bit of her first match in that yellow dress, I knew she was doomed to an early-round loss.

I actually like the outfit and the color. But The last time I saw her wear yellow, back in Melbourne 2006, she fell to Tsvetana Pironkova in the first round.
