Red-hot Dinara Safina won the Rogers Cup with a 6-2, 6-1 rout of Dominika Cibulkova. It's the Russian's third title of the year and her second Tier I crown.
From what little I saw (the match happened so quickly and I was distracted by life) Dinara seemed composed, her shots precise. Dominika was terribly nervous and just couldn't hold her serve. She committed a boatload of unforced errors.
If Dinara keeps this form through the US Open, she's got a shot to win her first Slam.
